Pre-treatment Advice for Waxing

To ensure a successful waxing experience please read the following:

Contra-indications to Waxing Treatments:
What is a contra-indication?

A contra-indication is a condition that may prevent or restrict a treatment. Examples of these are:

  • Skin disorders such as severe eczema, dermatitis/ psoriasis in the area to be waxed

  • Swellings

  • Recent scar tissue (less than 6 months old)

  • Infection

  • Bruises

  • Broken bones in the area

  • Sunburn

  • Moles

  • Using products containing Retinol

  • Within 7 days of a light chemical peel or microdermabrasion

WARNING: waxing is never done on clients taking Accutane, RetinA, Renova, Differin or any other types of skin thinning acne medications

Post-treatment advice

  • Do not use perfumed products for 24 hours after being waxed.

  • Avoid sunbathing, saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds for 24 hours.
